During the afternoon of Sept. 30, $3,740 in cash was reported as missing from a vehicle in the 2000 Block of Long Prairie.

An overnight burglary was reported on Oct. 5 of more than $27,000 worth of construction tools from a building site in the 4200 Block of Morriss Rd.

On Oct. 6, Stonegate Custom Homes reported that a pool heater and pump worth more than $5,300 was stolen from a site in the 6000 block of Long Prairie.

Later on that same day, a woman reported that her iPhone worth $649 was stolen in the 4900 block of Timber Creek Rd.

On Oct. 8, a woman reported a burglary at her home in the 6400 block of Branchwood Tr., of a tool valued at $400.

A 47-year old man was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 3000 block of Plum Tree Ln. Alcohol was involved with the second-degree felony and he was transferred to the Denton County jail; no bond was listed.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 10, a 59-year old man was stopped in the 3600 block of Cross Timbers Rd. for DWI, a Class B Misdemeanor with a $1,500 bond.

At noon on that day, a 22-year old man and a 24-year old man were arrested for theft in the 1100 block of Lopo Rd. The Class B Misdemeanor carried a $1,500 bond for each man.

On Oct. 11, a string of burglaries were reported in both vehicles, residences and retail-related locations. Items reported missing included: a $200 LiftMaster garage door opener from a car; an iPod; a baby-jogger stroller worth $650; computers worth $800; a $100 briefcase; a $250 camera; and, a Toyota Tacoma truck reported stolen earlier was recovered.

A home in the 2100 block of Paradise Ln. was the location on Oct. 12 for a jewelry theft. Items stolen totaled more than $30,000 and included a $4,900 watch and a $5,600 ring.

Two people, a 20-year old female and 23-year old male, were arrested on Oct. 13 in the 3100 block of Lakeside Village Blvd., for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released on $350 bond each.

On Oct. 16 at about 10:30 p.m., two people—a 19-year old male and a 20-year old female—were arrested in the 3000 block of Peters Colony Rd. for possession of under 2 oz. of marijuana. Both were released on a $750 bond each.

The day of Oct. 17 began with a 12:30 a.m. DWI arrest of a 48-year old man in the 2300 block of Cross Timbers Rd. He was released later on a $1,500 bond.

Following shopping in the 2700 block of Cross Timbers Rd., a 50-year old man discovered he was a vandalism victim with about $3,000 worth of damage—being “keyed” with a large “X”– to his 2015 Ford F150 truck’s driver door. Witnesses said they saw an Asian driver of a black BMW approach the truck’s driver-side before returning to his car and drive away. The business camera was pointed in a different direction.

At 3:47 a.m. on Oct. 18, a 57-year old man was arrested in the 3100 block of Sagebrush Dr., for deadly conduct by discharging a firearm. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

At 1:45 a.m. in the 5900 block of Long Prairie Rd., a 32-year old woman was arrested for a DWI with an open container. She was released on a $1,500 bond.

On Oct. 22, a man reported the theft of about $2,900 in a variety of tools and batteries in the 300 block of Oak Dell Way.

On Oct. 24 at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 30-year old man was arrested in the 4400 Shiloh Rd., for DWI with an open container. He was released on a $1,500 bond after 6 p.m. the following day.
