Marcus knocks off Fossil Ridge
Marcus made a statement on Friday with a 57-14 win over Keller Fossil Ridge at Marauder Stadium in the 6A Division II bi-district round of the playoffs.
Contributions from Nate Hopkins (204 yards, 3 TDs), C. J. Respass and Andrew Parish with rushing TD’s helped to seal the win.
Marcus (10-1) will face the Mansfield Tigers (9-2) on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex.
Marcus beat Mansfield 27-17 in a regular season game on Aug. 28.

Big comeback propels Guyer over Hebron
The Wildcats opened their eighth consecutive postseason run with a comeback win against Hebron at Apogee Stadium in Denton.
Guyer got its ground game in order in the 4th quarter after trailing Hebron 26-13 with 1:40 left in the 3rd quarter.
A Brandon Daniel interception at the end of the game sealed the 41-26 win.
Shawn Robinson was back in full force with 247 yards on 14 carries. Guyer finished the night with 607 total yards.
Guyer (8-3) will face Southlake Carroll (9-2) at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Allen.
