A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 6 a.m. Thursday through midnight Thursday night for Denton County.
Locally heavy rain falling on already saturated soils will likely result in some flash flooding Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
All told, we could see 1 to 2 inches of rain tomorrow.
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to increase from southwest to northeast across North Texas tonight as an upper level storm system approaches from the west.
The highest rain chances tonight will occur across the western half of the region, including Denton County, with the best chances occurring after midnight.
Otherwise, conditions should become mostly cloudy with low temperatures remaining in the 60s.
