I’m always happy to welcome new restaurants and their owners to Flower Mound. And it has been a really exciting couple of weeks with several restaurants opening their doors!
This week I got to check out Dragon Palace off of FM 2499 and FM 3040 with one of my friends, Mark. And we loved the fusion of Asian dishes that Dragon Palace has created – whether you’re a fan of Chinese, Indian or Korean cuisines, there’s something for you here. They also serve a full sushi menu, so you sushi and non-sushi lovers can finally have a spot to eat at together!
Chefs Jackie and Audi are both local residents and were brought here from New York by the owners. They each bring a wealth of great experience and talent to everything that goes on behind-the-scenes of Dragon Palace.
One of my favorite ways in which the chefs display their talent is with the salt sculptures they create to accent dishes served for special occasions – and you can even take them home with you! I just wouldn’t recommend eating them…
But let me share some things I definitely recommend you eat when you come here.
We started out with some of their Shrimp Tempura which were HUGE! I mean, each of these must have been half a foot long. And the batter was so crispy and delicious.
Being the sushi-lover that I am, I ordered their special Dragon Palace Roll made with spicy tuna, pineapple, avocado and tempura flakes. It was absolutely fresh and delicious!
My friend, Mark, ordered the General Tso’s Chicken which he said had great flavor and was the perfect portion for lunch.
All in all, this place serves delicious and beautiful Asian cuisine options. And when you come in, they hope you feel welcome and like family. And they’re willing to customize their dishes to make sure you get exactly what you want!
Whether you come for lunch or dinner – or if you come for Chinese food or sushi – Dragon Palace is a great new option for us Flower Mound Foodies. I’m so excited to have another Asian-style restaurant in our area and will definitely be coming back to try out some more of their beautiful and delicious dishes!
Hope you have a spooky Halloween, Foodies! May there be lots more treats than tricks this weekend!
