FM Lady Jags make history in spite of loss

The season came to an end for the Flower Mound girls basketball team on Friday night, losing in the state semifinals to Dallas Skyline by a score of 61-34 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Lauren Cox led the team in scoring with 22 points, while teammate Courtney Fields scored six points in the game. Kenzie Grill and Marin Mills scored three points each in the game.

Flower Mound finished the season with a 28-8 overall record and reached the state tournament for the first time in school history in the sport of girls basketball.
