Foodie Friday: Fajita Date Night at Anamia’s

Today’s Foodie Friday is all about one of my favorite things. After a day full of crushing real estate, there’s almost nothing I love more than heading to Anamia’s in Flower Mound for some of their delicious tableside guacamole and an order of fajitas. I swear by the fact that their guacamole can heal hearts and ease pains.

And we know that several of you are also big fans of Anamia’s because many of you nominated it as your favorite restaurant back when we had our Foodie Friday Contest in September.

Anamia’s has been a hot-spot in Flower Mound for 15 years – ever since it opened in 1999 – and they have all kinds of customers, from families to individuals who come in to enjoy the bar.

You may even forget you’re in Flower Mound for a minute as you enjoy the non-suburban feel of the high
ceilings, wrought-iron chandelier lighting and vibrant paintings. And when the weather is nice, Anamia’s has a great patio area where you can enjoy great food and one of their awesome (from what I’m told) margaritas.

But most people keep going back because of their awesomely unique and yet authentic Mexican cuisine. You can choose from any of their more than 50 menu choices that range from classic Mexican dishes like enchiladas and tacos to dishes that are a little more creative and unique.

Some of their more creative dishes include their Camarones al Moho de Ajo which is shrimp sauteed in garlic and lime on a bed of vegetables and rice and their Poblano a la Parilla which is a fire-roasted poblano pepper stuffed with a fajita/brisket/veggie filling and topped with Ranchero sauce.

Like I said earlier, my favorite reason to come is for the Guacamole en Molcajete (tableside guacamole) and the fajitas. You can order their rib-eye fajitas which come served on a bed of mixed vegetables or their beef or chicken fajitas which come with beans, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream and flour tortillas. Everything is steaming hot and fresh when it’s served to you and the tortillas are the perfect vehicle to enjoy all the incredible fillings.

Anamia’s is also known for its catering abilities, so the next time you have a function that needs catering, give them a call and they can prepare a menu perfect for your event!

With the beautiful weather we’re supposed to have this weekend, I highly recommend you head out to Anamia’s and enjoy some food and drinks out on their patio! And feel free to tell us what YOUR favorite part of your meal is.

Now, I’ve gotta go… I think it’s time for some more of that tableside guacamole!
