Denim & Diamonds at Circle R Ranch to benefit youth

The second annual Denim & Diamonds DREAM BIG Gala is slated for this Saturday. The event benefits Journey to Dream, a non-profit dedicated to helping hurting teens affected by abuse, addiction, depression, pregnancy, bullying and other destructive behaviors.  All proceeds from the DREAM BIG Gala will be used to build Kyle’s Place, a home for youth in crisis.

“On any given day there are several thousand homeless youth in need of help in our communities. There are very few beds (less than 200) or places for them to get the care and support they need,” said Kim Hinkle, executive director and co-founder, Journey to Dream.

”Our organization has spent the last decade working with hurting teens, serving over 75,000 students across North Texas. We are expanding our mission to build Kyle’s Place, a future home for youth in crisis, and want to involve the community in this worthy cause.”{jcomments on}

The DREAM BIG Gala will include an evening at the Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound with dancing to live music by the Shawn Outen Band, food and a silent and live auction.

The auction will include a trip to Las Vegas, dove hunt, sports packages, high-end electronics and custom jewelry.

The honoree for the Journey to Dream gala is State Rep. Tan Parker. The Red Carpet VIP Reception for sponsors begins at 6 p.m. with the gala starting at 7 p.m.

Major sponsors include Blackstock Properties, LP, Rent-A-Center, Glade Graphics, Demra & Ryan Robbins and The Point Group.

Journey to Dream still has tickets available for the Denim & Diamonds DREAM BIG Gala. Individual tickets are $75, couples are $150 and tables can be purchased for $1,000.  Contact is Kim Hinkle at [email protected] or 214-738-2989.
