In what has become its biggest fundraiser of the year, the Humane Society of Flower Mound is planning its annual Tuxes and Tails at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Embassy Suites – Outdoor World, 2401 Bass Pro Drive in Grapevine.
With this year’s theme as “Mardi Paws,” guests are invited to dress up while helping raise funds for animals.
“While we all have a great time at Tuxes and Tails, the funds we raise are the lifeblood of our organization and help sustain our programs throughout the year,” said Humane Society of Flower Mound President Linda Norman in a news release. “Every dollar we raise will go toward animals in need, whether it’s paying an emergency vet bill or transporting dogs through Love on Wheels. We truly appreciate everyone’s participation, whether it’s by attending, sponsoring, or donating to this great event.”
Tickets are available at $100 per person through the humane society’s website at www.hsfm.org, via email at [email protected] or by calling 972-691-7387, option 3. VIP tickets, also available, offer access to the VIP cocktail hour at 6 p.m., receive priority check-in and check-out and have seats at preferred tables. The event regularly sells out early, officials said.
Silent auction items for the event are still needed in addition to wine bottles for the wine pull. To make donations, email or call the organization. Sponsors for this year’s event include: Felcor Lodging Trust, Buddy & Tracy Kempf, Unleashed Solutions, Jim Chambless, DFW Alarm, Vickers Kempf PLLC, Fort Worth Community Credit Union, and Boun-Tien Hsieh and Mark Lam.
Since 1997, the Humane Society of Flower Mound has provided help to thousands of homeless, abused and unwanted animals in Flower Mound and surrounding communities by providing spay/neuter programs, adoption opportunities and education to the public about animal welfare.
