Police offer home drug test kits

The Highland Village and Argyle police departments, in cooperation with the “Test My Teen” drug abuse prevention program, are offering parents a free home drug-test kit.

TestMyTeen.com is donating over $5,000 worth of free home drug test kit vouchers to be shared anonymously with parents who need them.

Police said that the program helps create a partnership with parents in fighting drug abuse among teens and gives teens a socially acceptable way to say no to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.

The vouchers require no interaction with police, providing parents anonymity. The kits are shipped using nondescript packaging. Test results are available in less than three minutes after using the kit.

Free test kits are limited to one per family. Click here to visit the HVPD website or here for the Argyle Police Department to download a drug-test kit mail-in voucher.
