Mike Sanford, President of the Board of Denton County Emergency Services District #1, (pictured middle) stepped down Oct. 17 after serving for six years.
A replacement board member is expected to be named in January by Denton County Commissioner Andy Eads.
The Emergency Services District levies a property tax of 10 cents per $100 of valuation to residents in Argyle, Bartonville, Corral City, Copper Canyon, Northlake and portions of unincorporated Denton County to fund the Argyle Volunteer Fire District.
