The Argyle boys basketball team took one step closer to a state championship Thursday after defeating Lubbock Estacado by a score of 41-34 to advance to the state finals, where they will play Corpus Christi Miller at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Clarke Overlander led the way for Argyle with 17 points in the game, while Andrew Resch, Zach Dickerson and Connor York combined for 24 points.
Nearly 8,000 fans packed the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin, as the Eagles improved to 30-8 on the season.
