New Superintendent to be Revealed

The LISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. at the
Bolin Administrative Center, 1565 W. Main St. in Lewisville, to announce the lone finalist in the superintendent search. The open session portion of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

Open filing begins Feb. 14 for Board of Trustees Places 6, 7

Community members who wish to file for either Place 6 or 7 on the LISD Board of Trustees may do so Feb. 14 – March 14. Applications can be picked up Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the LISD Administration Building, 1800 Timber Creek Rd. in Flower Mound. Election Day is May 14. For more information, click

Adult and Community Education debuts new class schedule

Want to learn how to decorate your home like a professional? How about learn to speak Russian? These classes and many more are available in the new LISD Adult and Community Education schedule. LISD Winter Classic Chess Tournament set for Jan. 29

The LISD Winter Classic Chess Tournament is Jan. 29 at 8 a.m. at the Bolin Administrative Center, 1565 W. Main St. in Lewisville. Registration is $3 and begins at 6 a.m. the day of the tournament. For more information, click here.

Flower Mound High School to perform ‘Les Miserables’

The Flower Mound High School School Performing Arts Department will perform “Les Miserables” Jan. 27 – 29 at 7 p.m. and on Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Jack and Donna Clark Auditorium. For more information and ticket information, visit www.fmhstheatre.com.

See your favorite educators square off for LEF Night

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) will hold a special LEF Night at the Dr. Pepper Arena Feb. 5. The action will begin at 4:45 p.m. when LISD teachers and staff battle it out in the East (coached by Dr. Kevin Rogers) versus West (coached by Dr. Jerry Roy) game.

After the LISD champion has been crowned, don’t miss the Texas Legends game against the Tulsa 66ers.

During the event, The Colony High School JROTC will present the Colors, Arbor Creek Middle School students will sing the National Anthem and Hicks Elementary students will form the Legends fan tunnel.

Tickets are $9 (plus Ticket Master fees), with $4 going toward LEF teacher grants and student scholarships.
