Chamber introduces travel club

If you ever dreamed of visiting Ireland to go on a “Leprechaun Hunt”, plan on attending an informational meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10th, at the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce office in Parker Square.

The meeting will offer refreshments and door prizes as well as details about a new community travel club called “The Globetrotters.”

The first excursion is planned for July, according to Kelly Heslep, Flower Mound Chamber Executive Director of Programs and Events, and the destination is Ireland.

“This will be the very first trip, and just for fun, I call it a Leprechaun Hunt!“ said Heslep, who added that the chamber wants to offer local residents the opportunity to travel safely and get to know other people in the area.

“Our inaugural trip will take place in July 2011 from the 19-28th.  We will travel through the Emerald Isle, a land renowned for its “forty shades of green” for 10 days.  This comprehensive tour will introduce Ireland’s natural beauty, rich history, and hospitable culture.  The tour rates will include airfare, all lodging, ground transportation, and 13 meals.”

The trip is open to anyone, whether or not you are a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

To RSVP to attend the meeting or to be added to The Globetrotters mailing list and receive more information about this or future trips, e-mail [email protected] or call 972-539-0500. You can view more details about the trip at
