Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

July 9
2:10 pm. – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Meadowknoll Dr. – Unknown adult male contacted a home owner and offered to purchase their travel trailer.  Suspect may have been in the neighborhood earlier in the month contacting homeowners and offering to purchase trailers.  Unknown male was driving a Ford crew cab pickup truck.  Homeowners were concerned that subject was casing homes to burglarize.  Please contact the police department at 972-355-5995 if you have any additional information about this person.

3:27 p.m. – Minor Disturbance – 300 blk. Lake Trail Ct. – Adult male contacted police department regarding unruly teenage sibling.  No offense report taken.

July 10
1:37 a.m. – Assist Agency – 800 blk. Randall, Denton Cnty. – Assisted Denton County Sheriff’s Department with loud party call.  Contacted homeowner and they quieted down.  No other action taken.

4:02 a.m. – Assist Fire Department – F.M. 407 – Officer dispatched to assist with medical call near Sonic drive-in.  Patient transported prior to arrival.

July 11
12:05 a.m. – Assist Fire Department – F.M. 407 and Jeter Rd., Denton Cnty. – Assisted fire department on a medical call.

12:40 a.m.  Hwy 377, Argyle – Double Oak Police Officer assisted Argyle P.D. with a vehicle search.  No further action taken.

12:57 p.m.  300 blk. Thornhill Cir. – 9-1-1 hangup call.  No offense at location.

July 12
4:08 p.m. – Credit Card Abuse – 100 blk. W. Carruth Ln. – Credit Card Abuse – Resident reported that their credit card information had been stolen and was being used to purchase items and have them shipped to an out of state address.

July 13
12:07 p.m. – Assist by telephone – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – A caller notified police that their vehicle had been struck in Lewisville by an uninsured motorist from Double Oak.  Caller was directed to contact the Lewisville Police Department.

1:17 p.m. – Animal Complaint – 100 blk. S. Woodland Trl. – Officers responded with animal control to a complaint regarding two dogs (one of them injured).  A dog with a broken leg was located and transported to the shelter.  The other dog fled from animal control and was not captured.

7:37 p.m. – Welfare Concern – 200 blk. Waketon Ext. – Officers asked to stop by residence to check on a citizen’s well being. 

8:17 p.m.  – Assist Fire Department – 300 blk. Oak View Dr. – Officer dispatched to assist FD with a patient.

July 14
5:37 p.m.  – Solicitor Complaint – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Officer dispatched regarding solicitor.  Contact was made with the Complainant.  Officer was unable to locate the solicitor.

July 15
10:50 a.m.  – Assist Agency – 1900 blk. Jeter Rd. E., Bartonville – Officer dispatched to assist Bartonville P.D. on a suspicious person at their Police Department.

5:06 pm.  Assist Agency – 100 blk. F.M. 1830, Denton County – Double Oak officer dispatched to assist Denton County Sheriff’s Department on a motor vehicle accident.
