The North Texas State Fair Association recently awarded two scholarships to area high school students.
Annie J. Ullrich was awarded the North Texas State Fair Association Scholarship. Annie is a graduate of Plano East High School. She plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue her degree in Animal Science in the Pre-Vet program. Annie hopes to become a veterinarian and to raise and show Shorthorns.
Dustin Lee Schertz was awarded the Bob C. Powers Scholarship. He graduated from Sanger High School. Dustin will be attending Texas Tech University to study Wildlife and Fisheries Management in order to achieve a lifelong goal of becoming a Game Warden.
