Expect delays during waterline replacement project

Construction is underway on a water line replacement along Highland Village Road.

Workers are replacing older water lines from Lake Vista to Brazos Boulevard.

City officials said that the older water lines are susceptible to breaking/cracking and often require significant repair work.

The lines will be replaced with PVC pipe, which is more dependable and durable and not easily susceptible to corrosion.

Officials said that all work is expected to be performed inside the city right of ways and existing easements. Any grass, sprinklers, landscape, mail boxes or concrete sidewalks and driveway approaches disturbed during this project will be restored to original or better condition.

Construction will take approximately 3 to 4 months.

Questions or comments regarding this project can be directed to the City Utility department at 972-317-2989.
