Double Oak Police Calls – 5/28

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

May 21
10:52 a.m.  300 blk. Lake Trail – Welfare Concern –  A concerned citizen observed a young child riding a bicycle through the neighborhood and thought he should be supervised.  Officers were unable to locate the child.

5:13 p.m.  7600 blk.  FM 407 –  Assist Fire Department – Officer provided traffic control for the fire department during recovery of vehicle after a fuel spill.

10:12 p.m.  200 blk.  Oakview – Animal Complaint –  Concerned citizen reported a dog tied to a stop sign.  Citizen volunteered to watch over the dog until the owner was found.

May 22
2:10 a.m.  700 blk. Hwy. 377, Argyle – Assist Agency – Officer assisted Argyle P.D. during a traffic investigation that involved five people.

11:36 p.m.  300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct. – Noise Disturbance – Officer spoke with individual mowing his lawn at 11:36 p.m.  Person mowing lawn agreed to stop until the next day.

May 23
4:17 a.m.  14500 blk.  I-35W – Assist Agency – Officer responded to Flower Mound request for assistance with traffic at major accident on I-35W.

9:34 p.m.  300 blk.  Highland Ct. – Officer dispatched to family disturbance.  After investigation, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department, an adult female was taken into custody for family violence assault with bodily injury.

May 24
9:21 a.m.  100 blk. Maple Leaf – Ordinance Violation – Citizen observed a person vending door to door.  Officer was unable to locate.

10:33 a.m.  300 blk. Carruth – Ordinance Violation – Citizen observed persons vending door to door.  Officer was unable to locate.

11:04 p.m.  300 blk. Oakview – Disturbance – Officer responded to a disturbance that was verbal in nature.

May 26
12:34 a.m.  1 Tanner Parkway, Lantana – Agency Assist – Officer dispatched to assist Denton County Sheriff’s Department on a suspicious vehicle call.  Driver of the vehicle was contacted.  No offense was detected.

May 27
7:15 a.m.  100 blk. Timberleaf Ct. – Alarm Call – Cleaning crew on scene forgot the alarm code.

7:27 a.m.  200 blk. Carruth – Animal Complaint – Resident reported sighting a mountain lion.  Officer was unable to locate. Information regarding Mountain Lions and Bobcats is available at www.tpwd.state.tx.us
