District needs a parents perspective

As you may know, I ran for Denton School Board Trustee Place 1 last year and lost by 15 votes. Although the outcome was not what I’d wished, I still felt like a winner and thank all of you who voted and for your support. The close numbers show that there definitely is a need for a parent with children in the district on the school board.

We still need a Parent’s Perspective. This year, we are facing budget shortages and shortfalls that will affect our teachers and our children. Who would know this better than an active parent in the schools, seeing the needs of the children, teachers and administrators up close and personal.

The district is facing a growing problem of students leaving the district and going to other districts, charter, private and home school. What are they doing that we are not?  Well, I’d like to know why, wouldn’t you?  Who and what programs will be most affected by the budget shortage?

It’s time to stop playing with our children’s future and get down to business. Can I count on your vote and support in Denton ISD Place 3 to help me get this accomplished?  I’d like to hear from you and your concerns. Lets Talk.
