FM 407 closed this weekend at railroad tracks

The Texas Department of Transportation is allowing U.P.R.R. to repair their railroad crossing on FM 407 just west of Highway 377 in Argyle this weekend.

To accommodate U.P.R.R. as they replace the planking at this railroad crossing, east and westbound lanes of FM 407 will be closed on both Saturday and Sunday, May 1 and 2, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling north on Highway 377 south of FM 407 will be directed to go westbound on FM 1171 to I-35W, then north on I-35W to FM 407.

Motorists traveling westbound on FM 1171 will take US 377 north to FM 407 then westbound to I-35W.

Motorists traveling eastbound on FM 1171 will take I-35W north to FM 407 then east to US 377 south.

Motorists needing to travel on FM 407 westbound will go southbound onto US 377 then turn on FM 1171 west to I-35W and proceed north to FM 407.

Motorists traveling eastbound on FM 407 will take I-35W south to FM 1171 then east to US 377 north.

Detour signage will be in place providing motorists with detour details.

Closures will be limited to the weekend, TxDOT officials said. TxDOT asks motorists to drive carefully through the work zone and appreciates their patience during repair project.
