Republicans to host school board candidate forum

The Denton County Republican Club will hold a public forum for the upcoming LISD School Board Elections on Thursday, April 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lewisville Chamber building at 551 N. Valley Parkway.

Organizers said that candidates for the contested races for Place 3, Place 4, and Place 5 on the Lewisville ISD School Board will answer questions and discuss issues.

“This will be a great opportunity for the public to meet and ask questions of the candidates for these three races,” says Club President Jim Crouch.

Candidates will give an opening and closing statement.  Written questions by the audience will also be asked of the candidates.

All candidates have agreed to participate in the forum, Crouch said.

The candidates for Place 3 are Tommy Kim, Jeff Knapp, and Mike McDaniel.  Candidates for Place 4 are Ryan Collinsworth, Kathy Duke, and Julie Foughty.  Candidates for Place 5 are Patrick Michael Kelly, Brenda Latham, and Fred Placke.

Election Day is May 8.
