Double Oak Police Calls – 2/12

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

February 5
12:08 p.m.  Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Highland Court – Citizen observed a red truck acting in a suspicious manner.  Officer searched the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

February 6
12:25 a.m.  Suspicious Person / Vehicle – 500 blk. Lantana  Trail –  Double Oak PD responded to an assist agency request regarding suspicious activity in Lantana.  Responding Officer stopped the suspicious person / vehicle and determined that no crime had been committed.  Information was relayed to Denton County.

5:37 a.m.  Assist Agency – 18000 blk. I35W –  Double Oak PD responded to an assist agency request on I35W.  Northlake PD requested help watching three adults during DWI investigation.

9:28 p.m.  Assist Fire Department – 500 blk. Kings Rd. – Officer responded to medical emergency call.

February 7
9:16 a.m.  Burglar Alarm – 600 blk. Chinn Chapel Rd., Copper Canyon – Double Oak PD responded to an agency assist request in Copper Canyon regarding a burglar alarm.  No crime detected.

11:13 p.m.  Assist Agency Major Accident – 7600 blk FM 1830 – Officer assisted with traffic control for Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

February 8
12:30 a.m.  Assist Fire Department – 1200 blk. Porter Rd. – Double Oak PD provided assistance to Double Oak Fire Department on a medical call.

4:47 p.m.   Residential Burglary  – 6000 blk. Hawk Rd. – Residence burglarized.  Suspect made entry through a side window and exited the front door.  Property taken included a pink Dell Inspirion laptop computer, a 42″ Toshiba LCD, an exercise cycle and assorted jewelry.  Persons with information regarding this offense are asked to call Lt. Ruben Rivas at 972-355-5995.

February 9
11:50 a.m.  Civil Disturbance – Campbell Ct. – Call to business office over civil dispute.

2:42 p.m.  Suspicious Subject  – 200 blk. Brown Cliff Ct. – Resident reported suspicious male going door to door and looking in windows.  Subject was later determined to be a magazine vendor and advised to obtain Town vending permit.

5:08 p.m.  Suspicious Subject  – 100 blk. Chapel Hill Dr. – Resident reported door to door vendor.  Vendor gone upon Officer arrival.

6:21 p.m.  Assist Agency Alarm Call – 4500 blk. Mahogany Ln. , Copper Canyon – Residence secure.

February 10
9:48 a.m. – Warrant Arrest – 100 blk Chapel Hill Dr. – On view arrest by officer of subject wanted for traffic warrant out of Arlington P.D.

February 12
1:21 p.m. – Meet Complainant – 300 blk. Oak Trail – Resident’s yard damaged by reckless driver.
