New School Hosts Grand Opening Celebration
Alden Montessori School, a private Montessori school for children ages one through 3rd grade, invites the community for their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Saturday Feb. 6 from 2-5pm. The event will include classroom tours, curriculum information, food, entertainment and children’s activities. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3:30pm, and children are welcome to assist in the cutting of the ribbon. The Force is With Them

Fundraiser to Benefit Abused Children
Sports celebrities, local chefs and area leaders will come together to raise money for abused children during the first annual “Champions for Children” gala on Saturday, Feb. 20, at Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound, benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County. The event will feature a “tasting stroll” with food from The Grotto, Tierney’s Café, the Anatole Hotel and other restaurants, a live and silent auction and live music and dancing. Tourney to Provide Scholarships for Children of Slain Soldiers
Sponsors, donations and golfers are needed to raise money to provide scholarships for children of U.S. military service members who were killed in action. The inaugural KIA Scholarships Golf Classic is March 29th at Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound. A post-tournament awards dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, and numerous contests, including putting and chipping, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin, are also planned. Strike Up the Bands
Liberty Christian School will be hosting a DFW-Wide Concert at the University of North Texas Super Pit at 7:00pm. Ladies Plan Golf Fundraiser
The Lantana Ladies League is already in full swing organizing their third annual Charity Golf Classic. The event will be held on April 22 at the Lantana Golf Club, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. Sponsors and golfers are needed.
