Become a certified teacher in the school system where you will teach!
ResponsiveEd 180 EPP will open applications for its Spring 2025 training cohort in June of 2024. Career changers and recent graduates should stay tuned for more information.
Teach certification areas include:
- Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood – Grade 6
- Mathematics 4-8
- Science 4-8
- *English as a Second Language Supplemental (in conjunction with all certification areas listed above)
RES180 EPP is ResponsiveEd Solutions’ in-house alternative certification program for aspiring teachers. It is designed to help talented college graduates who don’t currently hold a teaching degree into great teachers through practical, classroom-centered coursework. We focus on essential teaching skills – what you will need to help your students succeed– and make sure you have numerous opportunities to practice and improve.
We offer the eligibility to receive a standard teacher certification in 15 – 18 months.
Training begins as early as the 2024 Fall Semester with an comprehensive six-week pre-service training including field-based experiences in a ResponsiveEd Texas College Preparatory Academies (TCPA) classroom with actual ResponsiveEd students followed by a year of coaching and development in your Internship classroom as the teacher of record.
Candidates who successfully complete the pre-service training and other state-required eligibility requirements will be interviewed for teaching roles in ResponsiveEd’s highest-needs schools.

We offer an intensive program that prepares you to be an outstanding teacher at a ResponsiveEd TCPA campus. Our program design prepares you to become an effective teacher, and we use practical, real-world training focused on essential instructional skills to help you do that.
- Coaching
Our EPP instructors and staff provide targeted, concrete solutions to assist in your growth; using both observation and assessment to ensure you are getting the support you need.
As a teacher of record during your internship at a ResponsiveEd TCPA campus, you will be eligible to receive:
