The Lantana Lightning swim team recently wrapped up its sixth season, and head coach Chris Cullen said it was the best summer yet.

Professional bowler Chris Barnes of Double Oak, with the help of his family, showed off some tricks Wednesday to members of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce at their 3rd Annual Bowling Tournament at AMF Lewisville Lanes. Barnes is pictured with CTG reporter Brandi Chambless (center), his wife Lynda, and twins Ryan and Troy.

Katelyn Fenner, 14, of Flower Mound competed in the July 4th Boomer Blast Wakeboard Tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma and took first place both days.

The Highland Village 10U Storm Team was crowned Division 2 Champions after defeating the Kansas Crush, 3-2, in the Super Series Slumpbuster National Tournament in Omaha, NE on June 27.

With three teams competing in the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League, Marcus High School has proven to be one of the stronger and more enduring hockey programs in North Texas.
