It comes as no surprise that citizens here in Texas are unhappy with the state of affairs in our nation. Texas remains one of the most conservative states in America.  All across the country, families are struggling to make ends meet with a high unemployment rate, the nation is split on many political and moral issues, and many deny that we are a Judeo-Christian nation.

Here in North Texas a group of concerned citizens are determined to make a difference.   On October 20th, Reclaiming Texas For Christ will hold their second annual FREE conference for pastors, lay leaders, and everyday citizens who are concerned about the crumbling of this nation’s spiritual foundation.

An impressive array of speakers will headline this year’s conference.  In this FREE afternoon conference, attendees will hear from Timothy Barton of nationally recognized WallBuilders, Dr. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Erik Stanley of the Alliance Defense Fund, Pastor Geoffrey Cohen of Gateway Church, Dan Panetti of Prestonwood Church, and talk show host Kerby Anderson of Point of View Ministries.

Topics that will be discussed include America’s Judeo-Christian Heritage, Discerning the Times, Exposing the Radical Muslim Agenda in the U.S., Why America Should Support Israel, Defending our Religious First Amendment Rights, and importantly, “How Christians Can Be Salt and Light In A Decaying and Darkening World.”

We welcome all who are seeking a Biblical response to the critical shaking of America’s foundation, who believe that America is in crisis - not just politically, financially or morally, but because our nation has not honored God in its successes or humbly called on Him in its struggles.  This is not a political event and is not supported by any one church or denomination.

While the conference is free, reservations are required to attend.  The conference will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 20, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville, TX.  To register go to www.ReclaimingTexasForChrist.com or call 940-268-8935.

One of Jesus' many names is Truth! Jesus is God and God is Holy and just. Too many people forget that and just think that they can live any way they want to and ask God for forgiveness and make no changes in their mindset or in their behavior. Jesus commands us to repent of sin and stop thinking and behaving against His Word and His will. True Christianity is a narrow path because you can't truly live like the people around you even those that attend church because just because someone attends church no more makes them a Christian than you walking into your garage makes you a car. What is their life like Mon.-Sat. all night and day long? Do they read the Bible and apply it to their life decisions? Do they watch all the same programs on TV as non-christians, look at porn./abuse children, and dress improper or in modesty?

Dear ATFlannery:

I have read the Bible, and have listened to your ilk since I was at university. Socialism is a demonic counterfeit of Christianity, and I am really weary of being subjected to you smelly, immoral, pot smoking hippies pushing your own neo-Puritanical, half-witted sophistry on the people of this country.

I KNOW Jesus would not support or defend abortion, so-called Gay Marriage, or the Federal Govt being the arbiter of morality for his people.

Please shut your whining, self-righteous pie hole and go join your brethren down at Occupy Dallas. That is where you belong, you intellectual light-weight.

I wish I could attend this revival meeting, just to take photographs, so that we could expose the individuals who are trying to be subversive - and work against what has already been established. These groups who revise history, and ignore the truth, while denying facts are an embarrassment.

“Crazy is as crazy does,” uttered Forrest Gump. “Mama always said you can’t outgrow crazy.”

Amen to that.

Timothy Barton? Must be David Barton's less feeble-minded brother. Let Christ have Texas and its fundamentalist troglodytes, and drag them to Hades with him.

Flannery Jesus was a socialist, go open your bible and read it for once instead of being told whats in it.

Healed people for free
provided food for the masses
I can go on.

Talk all you want, but the more radical parts of the US will not care in the least. They think they are right, and that we are wrong.

We should separate ourselves from the wicked States in the Union and let them reap what they sow.

Let us separate ourselves from their wickedness and become a free, holy, independent nation - separate from the wickedness of the so called "Blue" States, that are nothing more than socialist, secular States not worthy of our company.

Let us break from their wickedness, lest we be tainted by it.
