John Fox with Victory Mortgage in Flower Mound presented a donation in the amount of $1,250 to Rachel Mehl with Christian Community Action as part of his fundraising program that has been paying dividends to organizations that assist Denton County residents with housing needs.

Fox organizes a fundraiser lunch on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bari’s Italian Restaurant in Flower Mound.  He also holds a quarterly raffle for an iPad 3 donated by Victory Mortgage.  All of the proceeds from the lunches and raffle drawings are given to the charities, said Fox.

He said that he has raised nearly $5,000 so far this year.

Another recipient of the funds was Hope Inc., a division of the United Way that helps people get back on their feet after unfortunate circumstances.

"With the donations these organizations received, they have had the privilege of helping others less fortunate find shelter and prevent homelessness," said Fox.

At the June 12 lunch, David Hodges with Alamo Title won the iPad3. Kimberly Walls from Hexter Fair/First American Title won a MonaVie gift basket and Mark Metille with M2PEO Solutions won a bottle of wine.
