Flower Mound High School (FMHS) announced Thursday that Misail Tsapos will be its new girls’ head soccer coach. Tsapos comes to FMHS after nine years as the head girls’ soccer coach at 6A Colleyville Heritage High School (CHHS), where he led the team to 102 wins and a state final appearance.

Jadon Hellerud has had an aptitude for the sport of wrestling since he was in Pre-K. The fourth-grader from Hilltop Elementary School in Argyle is currently ranked the number one wrestler in the state according to USA Wrestling in his weight class and age group, and has recently added something new to his repertoire—Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The Argyle boys’ and girls’ golf teams made several firsts in school history on April 27-28.  For starters, the girls joined the boys for their first state appearance, and siblings Marisa and Lance Roden shared in the special bond of each competing with their respective Eagle teams, but the crowning achievement came with the boys’ first golf state championship on Tuesday.

The Liberty Christian Warriors and Lady Warriors were well represented at the 88th Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at The University of Texas in Austin. The meet is the second largest of its kind in the United States with more than 15,000 spectators and was the first time Liberty students competed there against Division 1 athletes from UIL schools in class 4A and below.
