The Highland Village Public Art Advisory Board will hold its inaugural Highland Village Art Festival on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Shops at Highland Village on the corner of FM 2499 and FM 407. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County.

Lamar Middle School students are putting their imagination to work and challenging other middle school students to do the same with Makey Makey – an invention kit for students to use art and engineering skills to turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the Internet.
