It’s time to think about watering our trees, lawns and landscapes again since it looks like we are not going to be receiving much rainfall soon.  Always remember that our irrigation systems supplement the rain, not the other way around.  Lawns need an inch of water a week, preferably all in one day so that the water will infiltrate to a depth of six inches creating a healthier root system. A little bit of water every day does not create a strong root system.

I’m not sure how this has happened, but somehow we realized that we have not tried out any local Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants! How that’s possible considering we’re in Dallas, Texas – I’m not sure. But we FINALLY made it out to one of our locally-owned Tex-Mex restaurants this week for some delicious food.

Webster’s describes opera as “A musical drama made up of vocal pieces with orchestral accompaniment, overtures, and interludes.” Some humorists describe it as “Music, with a lot of killing.” However, most people think of opera as a very sophisticated form of musical entertainment, enjoyed by an esoteric few.
