It should be illegal for innocent parties and people (like taxpayers) to be on the hook for the guilt/liability of others. How does that serve justice? It's like someone getting a jail sentence but an innocent person is put in jail in their place.

Don't see the comparison, there CS Al. The head DA that canceled the liability insurance, was elected by a majority of voters, you and me. Ain't majority rule great? (voters are idiots, as usual) Even though the DA office employees are under a "don't say anything gag order", according to an insider, the final bill to taxpayers will be close to 1 million.

I think the woman that sued hopes to keep her job, like nothing happened. An employee sues me, no matter race, color creed or circumstances, you gone one way or another, like she will be, or should be. Take the money and run.

You know... that's like shareholder liability. If a person buys shares in a company, and the company gets sued and is liable for $5 million, why don't the shareholders have to cough up the money? After all, they are the company owners, right? Do you think the shareholders should be liable?

I'd say the responsibility of the voters is "too far removed" from such decisions. The voters basically have no say in the decision, and they do not get any compensation for making any decisions. And if the voters are responsible, then should those who didn't vote not be responsible? Hey, that would be a good reason not to vote. :D

Oh geez, she's a lawyer, grow up and get a back bone. So a guy made some stupid comments, get over it, report it and let his boss handle it. Your part is done, or over done in this case.

Maybe chant, "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me", then consider that you're probably not an Attorney that needs to be doing anything with cases.

Shareholders do cough up the money Al. The value of their company just decreased by $5 million dollars. This seems to be extremely obvious does it not?

What if the value of a company is -$5 million? Shareholders might lose the value of their stock, but they don't have to cough up money to pay the -$5 million, even though they are owners of the company. Am I not right? I believe there is a name for this... I knew it once. :D

Are you really going to go there? I've learned my lesson, and sometimes I still do....and end up banging my head on the wall. Obvious doesn't mean the same to everyone; most everyone, but not for some. :D

Kudos to the judge. Frivolous lawsuit in which Miss Boldare, (hope she didn't spend the money already), should not get a penny.
