Sushi Khan closed?

Postby tpat » Mon May 09, 2011 3:56 pm

Went for lunch on Friday at 11:30 but they were closed - sign showed lunch started at 11. Drove by again today and the same business cards that were shoved in their door were still there.

Is that the one that recently sold on Craigslist? On 407 just to the east of the IHOP and Freddies? If so........it was sold on Craigslist, what was next?

Either batter the stuff up and fry it, or blacken it and they'll keep a place open!!

Now: Sushi Yaaa

Postby Uther » Tue May 01, 2012 8:19 am

..... and unless they observe the Sabbath, Sushi Yaaa is no more I'd guess since they were dark and no cars in front on Friday early evening.

That'd be one for the books. Jewish Sushi restaurant for sale on Craigslist....

Not 2 words I like to see together, especially if it's a restaurant! :?

Went to Sushi Yaa on Tuesday night......it’s not Nobu, but it is a fresh concept on sushi.....it’s more of a fast casual concept than the usual overpriced over plated sushi restaurants. It is a buffet…but without the typical Chinese buffet feel. Its clean simple and affordable…..a large variety of rolls along with non sushi favorites….edamame, miso soup, steamed dumplings, tempura shrimp and vegetables among other things. They have Sake, beer and wine and complimentary frozen yogurt. There will of course be the sushi snobs that will not touch the place because they would lose the respect of their friends and family by not paying $18 per roll.

Sushi Yaa vs all other sushi restaurants ……is sort of like the whole Whataburger vs In & Out thing….they are both good in their own right…not to be compared one on one.

If you like variety, affordability comfortable seating and a place to take your kids without all the upscale stuffiness then this is your place.
