Anyone have a great eye care place? A place that is good with kids. I need to take my son I think he may need glasses and I am more and dissapointed with where we have been going, Flower Mound Eye Care. Pease respond asap I need to take him

I can't help since FM Eye Care is where I've gone, but I'm curious what problems you've had. My most recent visit wasn't what it should have been but they made it right, but I'm still not 100% happy.

We use Bowen Eye Care in FM -- been going for many years and Dr. Lisa is very good with young children.

I love the doctors, its the office staff, I find them rude, pretentious, they don't portray a picture of a caring. We have been going there for years, even when they use to be over by Kohls. We have continued because of the drs only. But today when I called to make an appt. the rude snobiness impatient of the guy who answered the phone was the last straw.

I've used Las Colinas Vision for almost 10 years. Dr. Jon Park is awesome.

My husband used to use Bowen eye care, but his last experience was frustrating - had to have his contacts re-ordered 3 times. Prescription was wrong multiple times, and sample he got from them had what looked like mold inside the lens packet. Tried to work with them, but got fed up. He now goes to Dr. Park as well.

I know it's a bit of a drive, but works for us since it's on the way to work. They have great up-to-date technology and products. Quite pleased.

Ah, gotcha. I've noticed it's hit or miss with them. After returning with problems, I got someone else who was very helpful, but had the first person been a little more helpful, I wouldn't have gotten the glasses I have, or had to have them redone nor had problems. And sadly, we usually have to deal with them more than the Dr's.

I also go to FM Eyecare. I find the optometrists (NOT doctors) top-notch, with a wide range of equipment and diagnostics. They identified a serious eye problem with me and referred me to a top-notch specialist for treatment.

I could care less about the staff, last time they hassled me I simply asked them to give me the prescription and got my glasses somewhere else, like the Target frames shop - I saved a bunch and they have been much nicer since then.

I really think anyone should be able to stand up to a rude receptionist, unless the problem is with oneself and one's own expectations of how one should be treated. I've found that a complaint to the person(s) whose names are on the door often works wonders.

And I was there just this week. Need to go back in another 6 months. My daughter is going there on Monday.

yes i found Ogle Tree eye care very nice however they do not take our insurance

I need some new glasses and not sure where to go. Maybe Lenscrafters in Lewisville?

imagine the business Ogle Tree Eye Care would do if they took more than ONE insurance; I stopped there today was really surprised when I was told they only take ONE insurance, and its not mine.

I got my first from Target, then went to FM Eye Care........Don't discount Target.

As long as all you need is a simple eye test an glasses, it's hard to screw that up.....unless the Dr. insists that you need a secondary correction that you really don't need and you end up having the first lenses replaced and still have problems....

thanks...I ordered glasses today. I went to Looking Glass Optique behind walmart, was frustrating; all of their glasses are kept in locked drawers, so you can't just grab different glasses and try them on. Each drawer has to be unlocked AND the mirror only goes part way up, not nearly high enough to look in you have to walk over by the entrance where there is a mirror. I found the selection to be lacking. I ended up going to Target, I was able to grab and try on several pair and they had a mirror right there, I ordered glasses and sun glasses I am really happy with.
Flower mound eye care is where I have always ordered my glasses and my portion after insurance just for glasses usually is around $400 plus. Target was $180 after insurance for same type of progressive lenses.
