I passed Korner Cafe this morning, and the parking lot was full. Has anyone tried it yet?

Ate lunch there with my wife on Friday. Was reasonable. Liked the new decor. We both thought service was excellent and attentive and my wife wondered if it was a family affair since there were clearly more waitstaff than the restaurant deserved.

The food wasn't particularly outstanding, but neither was it horrible. We both agreed that it deserved at least another visit.

I had a burger and my wife had a tuna salad sandwich (Think it was on some walnut bread?) She could only manage half her sandwich and I left a little of the burger.

One quibble is that they put mustard on the burger without mentioning it in the menu. I prefer mayo/ketchup and not mustard, but this wasn't too horrible and overall the flavor was good. Didn't ask about "pink slime", figured I'd go with don't ask, don't tell.

Red Robins's burgers are better, but I think pricier.

We got away, IIRC, for <$20 for the two of us before tip.
I finally found an avatar that works!

Ditto everything said. Went there Sunday. My wife and her female counterpart of the friends we dined with was excited about all of the different from other restaurant menu offerings they offered, but I thought the food tasted bland. If I go back again I will have my wife put a shaker of Slap Ya Momma seasoning in her purse so I can put a little seasoning to my dish.

After we figured out that Corrianes Catfish was gone, we tried Korner Cafe a couple of Fridays ago.

Long and short, it's reasonable, we did the all you can eat catfish for $9.99. It was strange that it took so long to get it, but it was OK. My wife had one of the two pieces that was a little thicker so it was pretty decent. The rest was thin and cooked too long so it was a little tough. I like thin catfish if it's cooked right, but I assume this is frozen, and was over cooked. The slaw was strange but I liked the hush puppies, my wife didn't, but she thinks she got one that was slightly under done and had a little "damp dough" I ate what she didn't, and liked it. :D

I'm not sure I'd make an effort to go back, but I can't say it's bad, just "eh" based on what we had, saw and overall "feel". They were very friendly though.
