In response, the FWSD installed the pedestrian-activated crosswalk signs and implemented the school zone. The crosswalk signs have had problems communicating so the boards recently agreed to install a wire between them under the road to replace the transmitters that don't always work.
How about make them bigger. I've noticed that it is even really hard to see the lights unless you are right up on the sings - even at night - when only one is blinking - and nobody is anywhere near the crosswalk.
How do the other districts do it? I see crossing guards on my daily commute for Lewisville ISD, and I know Grapevine has them as well. I wouldn't expect parents to do it. However, this should be expected of the school district.
