Wonder if there will be legal action against the contractor that walked off? While I believe he should take or leave a job based upon his convictions, he could have put the general contractor in a real bind. I would imagine to mitigate risk factors such as that, there is legal clauses in contracts that prevents something like this.

Or not. Even if there was contractual stipulation of "timely notice" or whatever legal jargon a lawyer would put in there, does the fact that the omission of facts, ie- that it was a Planned Parenthood location, allow one to break a legal agreement?

"Omission of facts?" Unless it was stipulated that the subcontractor operates his business on a basis of ethical grounds and that the ultimate customer or purpose of the building had to be disclosed, I doubt the subcontractor can claim that.

But, let the courts decide - that's what they are for. Whoever paid for the concrete that had to be destroyed because the sub-contractor walked off the job can't be a happy camper.

Before hiring contractors to build facilities where unborn children will be slaughtered, they ought to make sure the contractors are OK with it.

Before accepting contracts "to build facilities where unborn children will be slaughtered", contractors should inquire who the ultimate end-user will be.

I would imagine that the principles enshrined in export control regulations, which holds that the supplier should obtain legal end-user certification might also hold in this situation. Unless, of course, you can point me to a legal, enforceable position that states otherwise? No-one here was engaged in doing anything that contravened any laws.

Correction... any human laws... there are laws above human laws which would apply here.

Even the Bible recognize a divide. "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's."

Good quote... supports what the contractor did, BTW, in case it isn't clear (deciding when someone dies is rendered unto God).
