Okay Al, Catholics do not like the pill or any other means of interfering with conception. I've got that. I was raised Catholic, I know.
The pill is bad you. Women should fulfill their purpose. I think it's important to understand all medications can be bad for you. I think all Catholics should go holistic for all meds. You know God's will and all.
Al, as woman I will tell you we are seen as sex objects with or without the pill. The ability to have a baby ( or not) doesn't affect our objectification. The way we dress doesn't. The way we wear our hair doesn't. Though those things are all great excuses men use when they decide to victimize a women or a girl.

Hog Caller, thanks for sharing. That people treated you that way is despicable... and it is certainly quite an irony when the same people calling veteran's "baby killers" also support abortion. That's the epitome of hypocrisy. I completely agree with you on that. Thanks for serving. Those people who 'attacked' you are ignorant jerks.

I doubt you know all the side-effects. The link I posted talks mostly about scientific side-effects, by the way, like the significantly increased cancer risk that comes with loading your body up with fake and unnatural hormones & chemicals.

Yes, but many women are not told of the risks of "the pill". It's political incorrect to warn them of it, even if it is true and backed by research and studies. Surely you think women should be told of such risks, even if politically incorrect, right? It seems saying anything bad about the pill, no matter how true, is attacking "freedom".

Boy, they sure did a bad job raising you Catholic! What a complete misunderstanding.

I am not Catholic anymore, by choice. I took the pill and was fully informed of it's risks and benefits. ( there are benefits too- which may be politically incorrect to talk of today ) The pill can help many women with hormonal issues conceive later.
