Some people just don't give a......poop.

I'll have to stand up for my little neck of the woods though. I'm amazed at the number of people I see every day, stopping and waiting with a bag in hand, to pick up after their pooches. Yesterday I saw 2 big dogs, singing a duet, and the lady walking them was there, with a BIG bag. And honestly, where she'd walked off to was probably a place it would have never been seen. I'll have to give Bridlewood area pooch peeps props for public poop protection! :D

However, there are still the ones that walk dags off leash, even on leash and some neighbors that just let them roam or get out, that have no problem letting their pooches poop in other peoples yards.

Have any poop bags ever been found in the poop receptacle? :)

Maybe we need to move to dog poop DNA testing.

Blame it on the coyotes?

The other city I live in allows dogs just about everywhere, including hair salons, hotels, etc. Have not stepped into or seen any poop around. Not as easy to get away with not picking up afterwards, I suppose. My annoyance is how the dog owners feel priviledged; like they are pushing a pram.
Poop Stations or whatever they are called are a great idea. Having a pleasant walk with your dog while swinging a bag of poop in the other hand is not a good look. And it stinks. Nice for folks to have a place to deposit poop, so more trash bins would help maybe.

Sadly, this is still a problem, and I just don't get it. It's so easy to just pick it up. I pick up after my dog, and it takes two seconds.

I find dog crap by my street tree all of the time, and I just come undone when I see it. I sure would love to know who the offending owner is so I can pick it up and leave it at his or her doorstep with the followng note: "You forgot to pick this up!"

Put a camera out. You can get decent game cameras for pretty cheap, even better ones with IR flash for great night shots too.

It's funny should say that because I do get mad at people tossing cigs out of the window, especially ones that are still lit when it's a hot summer day. They just flick it out and don't care if it lands in the grass. It’s just so rude and irresponsible.

It would be awesome if you could pin the pictures up on a tree near the "dump scene", so to speak, but I guess the HOA regulations might forbid that.
I finally found an avatar that works!

I think it's especially effective when someone is driving someone else's car, like Mom and Dad's car. But I think adults are the worst offenders.

I think, but I may be wrong, I remember a few years ago, the penalty for tossing cig butts being increased due to so many roadside fires caused by them. It may have just been talk, but it's near impossible for an LEO to do anything about anyway.
