Because 3% of Planned Parenthood's funding goes towards abortions, we'll just abolish the other 97% as well?

Yeah... might as well throw the whole thing away (unless they have a real 'conversion'). You can't justify abortion by doing good. By the way, you might want to look up the founder of PP and learn about what she believed (Margaret Sanger).

Different context thus not applicable.

Pray tell, what was the difference in context? Did they not kill people in Sodom and Gomorrah? Were not Lot fearful for the life and safety of the three men when he took them into his house?

Referring to this:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se ... ersion=NIV

The glaring difference is that it's talking about God not destroying (killing) innocent people. Shutting down an organization is nothing like destroying a city and killing innocent people. It's not even in the same 'ballpark'.

What are "so-called" pro-choice people fighting for anyway? I'm pro-life, and I understand what I'm fighting for. I believe that a life is a life from conception. Would a pro-choice advocate allow the killing of a one-year old baby? How about one-week or one-day old? Do you pro-choicers support abortion at 40 weeks gestation, 39 weeks, 38 weeks? Probably not. You usually, arbitrarily, choose 20 weeks. Arbitrarily. The question at the heart of the matter is: at what gestational period does a baby grow a soul anyway? The new Texas Sonogram Bill forces mothers to receive sonograms at least 24 hours before having an abortion. This is still being fought by pro-choicers. Why? Would it be that ignorance is bliss? Do mothers considering an abortion not want to know that they have a living baby growing inside of them? Try telling a woman, a real woman, who hear's the heartbeat of her baby (as early as 5 weeks) and rejoices in the life inside of her that it's not a baby. How many of you pro-choicers have allowed a baby to live to birth? Was your child's first day of life really the day they were born? Really? Pro-life and Reproductive-Rights. . . or Pro-Death and Non-Reproductive-Rights. I'm also pro-baby, pro-woman, pro-father, and pro-MOTHER!

Please quote where I said people were cheering for abortions in my "twisted world"... oh you can't.

Now who is living in their own world?

But don't worry, it's certainty not the first time people have made stuff up and claimed that it came from me.

By the way, I would have never thought of you as a pro-abortion* liberal... but maybe you are? Wow... JKTex a liberal!

*When I say pro-abortion, it means pro-abortion for anyone who wants one, which means they should be able to get one.

It's what you imply when you contrast your views with others. You have no room for anyone else to think or feel any different, and focus on your King mentality that you get to make all the decisions. Some people aren't on the same level as you as they don't feel it's their place to mandate what others do.

Pro choice is simple, it's being supportive of a woman's right to choose what's best for her, not me, or you. I don't have the right to tell a woman what do do with her body or what beliefs to have. I may not agree with either, but it's not my place to dictate.

You try to drag people with opposing views down to your level. That tends to be what radical anti-abortion folks try to do because they don't have an argument without an opponent which you have to fabricate. Bill's little speech is great for getting people like you jumping up and down cheering. Me? He lost me in the first few words. Most of it is rhetoric and radical BS designed for pamphlets and billboards.

And please, another lame tactic of the street prancing protestors is casting a giant blanket over several issues. Using examples like a person walking, eating, sleeping and pooping is weak and childish, because you can't support your position any other way.

We all have rights, and as much as you want to take them away from women, they have rights too. Hopefully, if god forbid any women ends up in the position of having to make a decision about terminating a pregnancy, she'll have support and council including family, spiritual and medical, to make the choice that is right for the situation.

I don't give a rats butt what anyone else thinks and I think my position is clear and without having to mince words or bob and weave fabricating debate like some of you love to do.

I think I've probably stirred the poster carrying, power mongers enough for now. I'm done here. :D Go ahead Al, get in the last shot, I know you want to so it's all yours!

OK.. I'm glad you're done because we're not getting anywhere... we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Thanks for letting me get the last shot in... I will take you up on that offer. :D

Your 'delusion' comes from thinking that there's only the pregnant woman involved... and you completely disregard the other person involved, who also has rights, which you conveniently dismiss or ignore. Bill's post was right-on... and you also dismissed it because you have no answer to it.

You also did not deny my claim that you are a 'liberal'. Your pro-abortion position certainly fits in the 'liberal' category. I would not have otherwise pictured you as a liberal based on your other posts, but maybe I will now.

I dont understand why you and other leave out the other innocent human being involved. Not trying to start a war here I just wish someone would explain the reasoning behind this.

there is no reasoning that one side will see of the other and vice versa. Mother's life and fetus' life. Both are lives, right? One is on this Earth, the other in that one's belly. One side makes the two equal, the other doesn't, neither does current law and potentially neither does science?
Other than that, great post JKTex.
And classifications of who is liberal versus conservative based on stands on various topics do not hold water. One can have stands that fall in either camp, on different issues. I believe most people fall in that category anyways. Few read "guide for liberals" or the other one.

Ditto! I won't even respond to the narrow minded political labeling. It's another weak diversion to cover up the fact that they can't come up with anything of substance to justify their stance on an issue.

Sure am glad I'm done wit that "other" subject.

In other news, a Komen Exec. quit today, over the flip flopping. From her statement, it's obvious Komen has gotten big and political and it's causing issues.

I sure hope they'll wipe the slate and get back to what they were started for.

That's funny, because all the "substance" is on the pro-life side... and you have no response to it other than to ignore it and dismiss it. :D

But feel free, if you ever figure it out, to chime in with the exact 'magic' time when you think an unborn child suddenly becomes worthy of "human rights", and then explain scientifically what happens at that magic moment, where the second before it is just a clump of cells and the second after it is a human life.

By the way, did you know fetus means 'little one' or 'offspring' in Latin? Just a fun fact for everyone. :D

given you don't accept science in this case, it is pointless and not worth screen it is typed on.
OK, so Latins were in agreement with you? and? :) given your directions in this case come from Vatican, not surprised
