Can you explain to me exactly how Komen was justified in anyway by their original descision. Cancer screening is a HUGE portion of PP services, cervical and breast. In many places the only place women have to go for low cost women's health care is PP. By cutting off funding Komen was effectively cutting off the ability for some women to get screened.

I had a couple of good zingers, but remembered, they'd be ignored and would only give him another chance to break out his radical morality soap box.

Local healthcare providers & charities including county health clinics, mostly funded through medicaid, Catholic hospitals and clinics and medical centers, and a few not-for-profit clinics... I'm sure it varies by area. When 'Obamacare' kicks in 2014, then a lot more options should become available. Unfortunately I don't think there is a 'national chain' like PP that provides the services, but there are other options.
But it doesn't really matter, because none of it is an excuse to justify abortion. One shouldn't support the killing of unborn children so that others can get pap smears. There is no justification for the direct taking of innocent life.
JKTex wrote:You can't focus on that specific question can you? No, because the answer is "who knows" other than a few possible options that are publicly funded and you want to keep shoving the abortion issue in everyone's face. How about the majority of what PP does.....
JKTex wrote:If you saw the news tonight you may have seen the interview with the 26 year old mom who's been going to PP for 10 years. When asked where she would go for female care if it weren't for PP, without hesitation she said would be going to the ER for it. That's the reality, it's the easy out, out of tax payers pockets for non-specialized care. Most women like that aren't in a position to be driving around looking for clinics and med centers hoping they weren't walking in to hack shops.
