The Lewisville City Council will consider changes to its sexually-oriented business ordinances Monday night in response to complaints about scantily clad waitresses at one of the town's "breastaurants": http://www.whosplayin.com/xoops/modules ... oryid=2451

I want to know who's going to Redneck Heaven by choice and leaving offended. Just don't go into a place you don't like, are offended by or isn't your thing. ANd that's a place that's pretty obviously not Chucky Cheese, Olive Garden or Red Lobster so don't take the family there after church or the soccer team for celebration.

They may push the envelope a little, that can be addressed with current ordinances, but geesh, people need to get a life and stop meddling in others.

Some people are never happy if they can't meddle in other people's bidness.

What about Hooters, The Tilted Kilt, and the original Twin Peaks all within a mile from Redneck Heaven?

The only thing I could think of is that Redneck Heaven put up a Large Bounce House with a slide along the I-35 feeder road, added a garden hose for water, and had bikini-clad young ladies bouncing and sliding around.

It was more of a traffic hazard than anything else with everyone trying to get a peak at 65 mph!

 Like I said, there may be some things they could reign back a little, and while I don't see a problem with the bounce house thing, it may not be the best idea for a place right there on I35 in a massive retail center. I'm sure those kinds of things could be handled without whiners trying to get it pushed over the line into a sexually oriented business.

I wonder if those same whiners ever watch TV where you see the same things, and in prime time!

I wonder if they are part of those that make the porn industry so pervasive and profitable. Just like the high rates of divorce in "Christian" families.

Innovations like the VCR and even Blu-ray was driven by early adoption in the porn industry. 45% of movie rentals in hotels are for "adult" titles.

Well, hell. We can't watch that crap at home with kids running around. What else are hotels for?, travel?

I've been to Twin Peaks, Hooters, Tilted Kilt AND Red Neck Heaven and Red Neck Heaven is by far the worst of them on their THEME nights. Those nights are way overboard. And when I was there, it was school girl night last year. The outfits were low cut and embarrassing to be around - but THAT was not what got to me. What got to me was the fact that the patrons were TOUCHING THE WAITRESSES. They had their hands around them! It was disgusting. THAT was the point that it went to far and I haven't been back.

And the sad thing is, of those places that I listed, I thought the waitresses were more genuinely friendly, although some looked a little embarrassed, and the FOOD WAS BETTER THAN ANY OF THE OTHERS. Red Neck Heaven has the most delicious barbecue sandwich I've ever tasted!! Tilted Kilt is next for food quality, the others.. ehh... yucky food. On regular days I'm assuming RNH is similar to TIlted Kilt in dress, but after that one night, I won't go back because I don't want a waitress who has been felt up by other people there.

* I'm an artist. I am required to know how to draw naked people and thus such things do not really bother me, but the touching thing does.

So you're saying your food can't be served by a person that has been "touched?" I guess we all have our standards... :)

So why do you go to those places to begin with? Certainly not the food. Kind of like going to a topless bar and complaining about nudity  You have a multitude of choices to patron in Lewisville with crappy bar food that do not include scantily clad waitresses.

Take a journey out to "Big Racks" in Grapevine next time by Bass Pro Shops for a change of scenery. Used to be a family BBQ joint, now a "Hooters-Type" BBQ concept.

Oh, I don't CHOOSE to go to any of them. I just tolerate going to them because my husband would like to go on occasion - and if you'd noticed the first post I made, WHICH YOU QUOTED - Red Neck Heaven does actually HAVE good food. But if I were going for the food, I'd just get it to go next time. I may go to one, once a year.

So while you're trying to be all smart about it, I didn't even complain about the nudity, because nobody WAS nude. 9.9 My complaints are about patrons touching the waitresses, which is disgusting. Get your comments straight before digging through a post looking for something just so you can see your thoughts typed on a screen - better yet, open up notepad and type to your heart's content, because you obviously can't read a note thoroughly enough to be allowed comments.

   I've never taken my wife to one of these places, and I would not ask her to go with me. I just thought it was ironic that you expected decent behavior in a restaurant where the waitresses are encouraged to sit down at your table and touch the customers to increase their tips.

Sounds like I may have touched a nerve. Sorry if I am not "Allowed Comments"

I haven't frequented any of the above establishments, either. Certainly wouldn't take the Mrs. if I did. To each his own. Did go to Red lobster next to Red Neck Heaven 2 weeks ago, and had to tell two biker dudes in my way to move their girlie bikes, or get flattened. (amazing how a 3 foot piece of tow chain under the seat can impress some folks.)

Nerves be damned, all comments allowed.
