Speed limit lowered in Bartonville

As if anyone is going to slow down because the signs now say 50. It just amazes me the money and time spent to address a concern and the resulting action is something like a 5 MPH reduction in speed. The few times I go that way since the road has been completed, it's usually a little nerve wracking with cars exiting and entering 407, especially at the curve, with traffic flying by at the speed it is.

I guess it's 1 step though. They'll need to have LE posted right there keeping people slowed down. If they can afford to take someone out of patrol for traffic duty like that.

Two lane farm road in need of repair with a stop sign at a little gas station... 55 Mph. Brand new divided 4 lane with nice sweeping turn and no stop sign... 50 Mph. The only sense this makes is catching drivers off guard and increasing revenue.

I guess when they straighten the turns heading to the Feed Store and bump it up to 4 lanes, we can expect the speed limit to drop to 45.
