He ventured forth to bring light to the world

The audacitiy of hope?! How about the audacity of Obama...to travel the world, lecturing the "people of the world" about unity, as if he is the annointed one come to save us from ourselves!

Satire at its best:

You have got to be kidding me with that first link??!! I know you liberals like to paint conservatives as a bunch of illiterate rednecks who “cling to guns and religion”, but to offer up a possible misstatement by a person who was being tortured by the Vietcong 40 years ago is beyond shameful.

Lets talk about something a little more recent…this week. While in Israel Obama took credit for the mortgage assistance bill that came out of “his Senate Banking Committee”. In fact, not only is Obama NOT the chairman of that committee but he doesn’t even serve on the committee. And just a few months ago, during the primaries, Obama stated that he had “traveled to all 57 states, except Hawaii and Alaska”. To the best of my knowledge he wasn’t being tortured by Karl Rove at the time…not sure what his excuse is.

Both Obama and McCain have largely been missing from the Senate the past few months as they campaign. The difference is that McCain still has a long voting record for people to look at and Obama is just making up his voting record as he goes along.

You completely miss the point of the satire in the London paper. Its not anti Obama, but meant to point out how ridiculous it is to have this man, who just FOUR years ago was a State Senator, traipsing around the world giving lectures as if he was the Pope (no offense Al). It points out how insane the media has become over this candidate. Sure, if the world could vote, Obama would win in a landslide. Someone needs to remind him that he is tied or even behind in some of the polls where it counts.

you are missing the point of mccain naming the steelers' defensive line to the NVA, (not the viet cong). He was in Pittsburgh at the time trying to garner favor with Pittsburgh's voters.

You can look at this 2 ways... he is either a liar or he is losing his mind. either prospect is not appealing. McCain has a history of incidents like these.

Thanks for taking the time out of cleaning your gun while reading your bible to reply to my comments. :P

Neither one of these guys should get anyone's socks rolling up and down with excitement. They will BOTH pander to the audience and take credit for stuff they didn't have much to do with...nature of politics and is no different from any race on any level in the history of politics. Why we act so astonished over this stuff is truly - astonishing. Oh, the irony!

And you miss my equally valid point entirely as well. You can look at Obama's "my committe" statement two ways. Either he is a liar or he is losing his mind. And he seems to be young and fit - so I doubt he is losing his mind. Unless of course, all that coke he did as a youngster is catching up to him.

Thanks for setting down your Chardoney and stepping away from The Communis Manifesto to respond to me.
