Review: Palio's Pizza Cafe

Postby Common Sense Al » Sat Jul 12, 2008 2:30 pm

We ordered pizza from Palio's Pizza Cafe for delivery yesterday (didn't feel like cooking). They have a whole wheat crust option and we got that. My wife ordered a large "Molly" mainly for herself and a large BBQ chicken pizza for me.

Total price was around $26.50 with tax (not including tip). From where it was coming from and it being Friday, I thought it came pretty quick (less than 40 minutes). My wife ordered but I'm pretty sure they charge extra for the whole wheat crust option.

I really liked the BBQ chicken! My wife said it was more tasty too (but probably didn't think it was as healthy). I thought the Molly was good but the BBQ chicken was definitely tastier.

Dude, you and your wife can each power down a large pizza?

That's kind of impressive.

I had Palio's again recently. The BBQ chicken was very flavorful. I paid a few bucks south of $30 for two large specialty pizzas including a decent tip (with a $20 coupon). I was surprised at how little the pizzas weighed when I first held them in the boxes. I ate about an entire large pizza by myself. Yes, maybe I ate a little too much, but the pizza, although flavorful, had a thin crust and wasn't that loaded with toppings. I have to say it wasn't a very good value even though the BBQ chicken was very tasty. :(

I did not like the Nutty Chicken as much, but it was still good.
