Analytic thinking can decrease religious belief

Priceless.

Read the entire abstract, I believe most here can manage reading a page. :)

Analytic thinking can decrease religious belief: UBC study

And here is a reasoned counterpoint. Is rationality the enemy of religion?
I finally found an avatar that works!

Pretty worthless study if you ask me and read the "more reasonable" counterpoint.

Now THAT'S common sense.

Some research results published in Science mag has quite obivious results, such as the May 4 issue which a researcher found the reason people spill their coffee is because they were walking too fast and the cup was too full. I swear.
The abstract on disbelief in religion related to analytical thinking is truly off base. There are too many variables. Religion, by definition is organized. Often group think has been linked to linear thinking thus less analyzing?
The counter point, to me, is more realistic.

You don't need a study to determine that the more "learned" you are the more likely you are to question things.

I would have said "I" but the actual scripture is "We."

For the most part, I respect another's opinion and do respect yours.

Isn't that why C.S. Lewis become a believer due to his trying to disprove the existence of God?
