Not hardly. That case is being exploited by more groups than fracking.
Stand you ground has been long protested by by some nut job whackos in Florida and they're using that case to make their case that the ability to protect yourself is bad.
What will come out is that Zimmerman is a self proclaimed "Sheriff in town" that confronted Martin, scared him then he pursued him after hanging up on 911 who just told him that an LEO was around the corner and not to go after Martin. I understand his fear, a scary out of town teen walking in the rain armed with a bottle of Arizona Iced Tea and a bag of skittles for his brother, but those types are best left for SWAT to take down. <sarcasm>
BTW, Zimmerman has been "protected" from a few violent changes in the past which are questionable. Assault on an officer (bar fight with an undercover officer) and domestic assault issues and he's only in his mu 20's. His Mommy and Daddy, both in the court system I'm sure have been covering and protecting him for a long time. He should not have been bale to get a CWP, as they call it down there because it's not a license for a gun, it's a license to carry any of several weapons.
He's going down for killing Martin, as he should. I'm not sure what the press conference was tonight, but Sheriff do nothing stepped aside after a vote of no confidence from the council, and I'm sure he'll be out of a job, as will others I'm sure. It's a simple case that will be exploited by everyone for gain of many things, primarily political. Of course it'll be dragged out as much as possible as a racial thing too. It's simply an idiot moron that will have plenty of companionship in Prison.
I feel for Martins family. Sounds like he was a good kid that had the misfortune of crossing paths with someone that wanted to be a hero for all the wrong reasons.
