did they throw darts when they decided that 3 months was legal? I don't think so. i'd obide by any law that scientifically decides something, not religiously. I respect, but don't understand religious arguments.

You really think they use science and logic to make laws?

Sounds like you 'worship' the law and "the state" and will believe it, respect it, and abide by man-made "state" laws no matter what it is... so based on the logic you have used, I assume you would be OK if there was a law that said you could kill your neighbor if they were an inconvenience to you (or determined by some convoluted science to just be a "body part" or "parasite"), or any other law as long as there was supposedly some element of "science" behind it... but of course you can believe what you want.

I'd still like to hear your answer to those specific questions recently posted though. I assume you didn't want to answer them. Here is my question again:

skiing1974, what if a woman is 9 months pregnant and goes into labor and decides that this "part of the body" is just going to be too much pain, trouble and expense. Do you think it is OK if she aborts it an hour before it is born since it is "just a body part" and she decided that she doesn't want it to suddenly transform into a person that she has to care for when the body part is born?

Al, I will only answer your last question...is it legal? no, so not ok
which I also think I answer many times by stating that law is a law and that women should have a right to choose...that if something is a law and that law allows woman to choose, even if 1 milisecond before delivering, then fine. I am also trying to make a point that it matters NOT what you feel or what I feel, that I think it is is pro-choice as far as any woman is concerned. I, again, may not agree with the law, but it is what it is. I'd say the same thing if the law was written in Al's way :D
and yes, I obide by man-made laws no matter what they are and if I agree with them. I would not do so if they were religion-based laws. That's why I live in the US, not in Saudi Arabia...or Vatican

So basically you don't have your own opinion other than "whatever the law is is right" and "if it's a US law then it's fine".

But, assuming there was no law... and you were writing it, what would it say?

read above again please..."I, again, may not agree with the law". so, no, I may not agree with every man-made law.
I have my opinion which I stated many times, pro-choice, with state, experts, not Church, deciding the term, I am not an expert on it.

OK... so just to confirm I am understanding right:

1) if the law said it was legal, based on some non-religious "expert" recommendation, then you wouldn't have any problem with an abortion 1 millisecond before delivery? Yes/No
2) if the law said you could kill the body part up to 72 hours after delivery, again, based on some non-religious "expert" recommendation, then you wouldn't have any problem with that either as long as it's the law? Yes/No
3) if the law said you could kill the body part at any time until it is able to walk by itself, based on some non-religious "expert" recommendation, then you wouldn't have any problem with that either as long as it's the law? Yes/No
4) would you "agree" with law 1? What about 2? 3? Yes/No

if woman chooses so, correct and in that case I'd agree.
i wouldn't agree with it or live in the place where that is a law.

Must be a language barrier or something... I guess I don't understand.... you "agree" with anything that is law (if the woman chooses) but then you said you wouldn't agree with it or live in a place where it is the law... so do you agree or disagree? :? Oh well, I will just stand confused.

But there are four questions (viewtopic.php?p=51005#p51005) - perhaps you answered before I finished editing my posts... I have a bad habit of going back an editing after I've submitted it.

Al Al Al Time to give it up. Comments. Noted..

Women need to keep the life within. To end this is murder. All women should have children when they get pregnant by MEN. MEN who can just walk away from the wonderful life they produced. So easy for you to judge

You are an ignorant moran who doesn’t have a clue.
