Being that I prepare tax returns, I prefer that people go to their local CPA's. Turbo Tax and the other tax programs are fine. They all work. It is really all down to who is inputting the information and if they understand what Turbo Tax is asking. I know what the return is supposed to look like before our program gives it to us, so I know if something isn't right.

Anything they can do to nickel and dime the consumer I guess (the American way). Perhaps I should give TaxCut a try again though last time I used it I was disappointed.

This is great. It seems Intuit listened and responded.

VP, TurboTax from Amazon.com review wrote:Note... As an Intuit employee, I am responding to correct inaccuracies in a few reviews and to notify everyone of a change we made last week that apparently many of you have not read about. Also, in that I cannot post unless I assign a rating, I gave this a three star rating, which is the midpoint. I'm not trying to game the system here, but that's my only option.

TurboTax has over 17 million loyal, passionate customers who genuinely care about what we do and who take the time to tell us. That's evidenced by your opinions posted in these discussion forums. You've spoken. We've listened. And now we've responded to address your concerns.

A number of factors, including this feedback, have prompted us to now enable TurboTax customers to prepare and PRINT MULTIPLE RETURNS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. Plus, as we've previously communicated, FREE E-FILING IS INCLUDED WITH EVERY FEDERAL RETURN (up to the IRS limit of 5).

We believe these changes make TurboTax the best value for consumers. Including free e-filing with every federal return means a savings of nearly $75 for some of our customers versus last year and a savings of up to $40 compared to our original pricing this year. I believe this now truly reflects our commitment to helping our customers keep more money in their pockets.

By the way, someone suggested that state returns are extra. Virtually all the TurboTax desktop products (with the exception of Basic) include the state program free of charge. This has been the case for at least the last five years (and probably much longer).

I'm no stranger to engaging with the online community, so if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to share them here.

VP, TurboTax

I went ahead and bought it on Amazon.com since they have $10 credit offer now until the 28th.

Now THAT'S common sense.
