Not minimizing its overall value, just stating the fact that it's not a player in this election - as much as you want it to be.

I wouldn't be so sure... there are a lot of people like me who vote based on the abortion issue (and other moral issues)... certainly enough to matter in a close election.

I might enjoy that.

I'd like to see that. Maybe Lantana07 can arrange it. We could record it and put it on YouTube.

I have been watching McCain on C-SPAN and wanting him to be President since 1992. I couldn't answer Couric's questions on his record on financial issues. I only know, just like Pallin, that he spoke up and warned the Senate about our current tragedy back in 2005.

I do know about how Obama took 125,000 from Fannie Mae and has as his housing advisor one of the men who helped cause this crisis!

I think Couric was definitely out to make Pallin look stupid-- anyone would have looked stupid being asked these questions (other than McCain himself).

I believe it was $160,000 he got from Fannie Mae. It's easy how to decide to vote. If you want more government control and increased taxes, vote Democrat. If you want less government control and no increased taxes, vote Republican. :D

The money flows both ways.....

Here is great article from Newsweek this week about Rick Davis (McCain campaign manager) and his consulting firm, Davis Manafort. Seems Davis was getting a "consulting fee" from Freddie Mac for not doing anything???

Interesting reading. :)

Well you are not the VP nominee. Someone running for VP should know their running mate backwards and forwards.

If you think Obama taking 125k from Fannie Mae is bad see McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis who is still getting money from them.

Do some research before you make up your mind.

Couric did not have to work hard to make Palin look bad. Nor did Charles Gibson.

I'm sorry but it is not as simple as that. How do you explain away the huge govt Bush 2 created? Last I checked he is a republican.

Obama has made his tax plan clear. Obviously you have not looked into it.

simplify

Postby tnlb1819 » Wed Oct 01, 2008 2:45 pm

simplify your thinking with regards to the issues. let's start with the basics.
life vs death. if a baby is killed, they are not able to "choose" to go war, if a baby is killed, they are not able to "contribute" to our economy, if a baby is killed , they don't have a "choice" about education, if a baby is killed they don't get the "opportunity" to find a cure or discovery. The point is that there are loads of issues, very important issues, but the very basic one of a right to life is non-negotiable. sure, it's easy to get up in all of the he said/she said, how many houses does mccain own, what is obama's ethinicity/religion, etc. that sells magazine, increases tv ratings, but simplifying by looking at the moral and integrity issues that al spoke of........ is stuff that we should have learned in kindergarten.

Nothing will change regarding abortion no matter what party is elected. Republicans say they are pro-life but abortions are still legal. Sarah Palin said last night that under no circumstances should someone go to jail for having an abortion.
