You Obamanites are falling asleep at the wheel. However, this is still an electoral college election and as such...it doesnt matter if you are up 15% if those 15% dont belong to the right states. Its gonna be close.

That would not change my vote...but I would be much less enthusiastic about it. Lieberman "gets it" from a national security perspective and although he is liberal in the rest of his politics, I think he is at least "center left"...more center than either Hil or Obama.

What is your speculation about Obamam VP pick?

As a native Virginian I am hoping it is Tim Kaine. I was very impressed with the way he handled the VT shootings. He is well respected and popular in VA.

He is center left as well.

I read that McCain has promised to introduce legislation that taxes individuals on thier insurance plans from their employers. I think this is a bad idea.

On the flip side you don't have to worry about Obama raising taxes, he would never do anything like that.

Whoever McCain picks for VP, they better be pro-life or McCain may lose a lot of votes... and he needs all he can get. But I'm glad to see Obama slipping. :D

Vote out the imbiciles of both parties in Congress, and we would'nt have "crippling debt" for long.

Until they get their spending under control, there's no sense in raising taxes because it won't help. I don't see any end to it... until total collapse. Call me a pessimist in this regard but here is a smiley face: :D

yes but they can tax and tax and tax us and still they will not have enough money, what they need to do is control spending.

sorry, republicans do not have leg to stand on with the old tax and spend liberal argument. not anymore.

Bush did not veto a single bill in his first term allowing for a congress gone wild scenario. when he did get around to a veto or two it was for stem cell research and children's health care.... quite a paradox.

"When we strip away defense, homeland security and entitlements and adjust for inflation, leaving only discretionary domestic spending, George W. Bush has grown the federal government at a faster pace than Lyndon Baines Johnson," Viguerie writes. "His record for profligate spending is outmatched (for the time being) only by another Big Government Republican, Richard Nixon. And when Bush's second term is over, there's every reason to expect that Bush will hold the record as the president who's grown the federal government at its fastest pace in modern times."

I hate to say this...but you are right. ughhh.!

However, there is still a MAJOR difference in Liberal and Conservative platforms when it comes to the notion of taxing and govt size. I think I speak for most Conservatives when I say that we are upset with the GWB administration for their lack of veto use.
