Double Oak Family Fun Day

Come one, come all...The Double Oak Police Association and the Double Oak Womens Club will be co-hosting a Family Fun Day at the Double Oak Town Hall on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Some of the events scheduled are Dunk the Chief, Chief Jason Jones has courageously volunteered to be the dunkee for this event. There will be a giant purple dragon bounce house, coloring contest and bubble station for the little ones. For the older kids (and this includes mom and dad) we will be having 3 legged races, sack races and hula hoop contests.

We really want this to be a truly family oriented event, so we would like to see parent/child teams compete in these events, but anyone can match up for a team even if its mom and dad against the kids.

Lowe's will also be on site hosting a kiddie construction workshop.

There will be free refreshments on site that have been generously donated by Kroger and the ladies of the the Double Oak Women's Club.

Exit the south entrance of Lantana onto FM 407, head east. Right after the Copper Canyon Road stop light you will see a street on the right hand side of the road called Tanglewood. Take a right off of 407 onto Tanglewood go forward to the stop sign which is Cross Timbers. Turn left on Cross Timbers. Proceed on Cross Timbers through 2 stop signs, at the 3rd stop sign you will be at the corner of Waketon and Cross Timbers. The Town Hall will be directly in front of you on the left. You wont be able to miss the large purple dragon bouncer!

I will try to get some signs up this afternoon clearly marking Tanglewood and plotting the path to the event.

We went, it was fun. We had a great time.....although Lowes was not there

I'm sorry that Lowe's didn't show, they never even called me to give an excuse! I was not very happy with them.

But I am happy that you came out, it really was fun and we plan to do it again next year!
