Scary? Don't think so. Underlying condition. 20 something elders died in the current yankee heat wave. We all gotta go sometime. Moskwato or a 12 gauge to the chest, it don't matter a hoot.

Yeah, not really scary. People die from WNV due to other preexisting conditions. Healthy people could have WNV and not even know it. The symptoms would come across as a cold or flu. There are probably a fair amount more cases going around due to lack of these healthy people not going into the hospital and getting diagnosed for the reason I noted above.

I'm sure you're right. IN fact, I'm not sure I didn't have it for 4-5 days last week. I'm doing a treatment for some skin cancer which I know gives me some of the same symptoms, but it shouldn't be near enough to give me all those symptoms like I've had before. The Doc even said there's no reason I should too. I never got spots on my torso, and it went away finally so who knows. I was a little worried and watching close though. I spend too much time out in the evening and can't count the number of those little basta-skeetos I've been bitten by and slapped around.

Shouldn't you be using repellant? If you can't because of the skin cancer treatment, you might want to try the clip-on repellant by "Off." Costs about ten bucks.

I just never us repellant. It's nasty and by the time I'd think about it and when I'd need it, I'm already busy doing whatever it is.

I've considered trying Thermacell, even the larger lanterns. I may do that. I could use them other places too, like the woods.
